In Sweet Candy, colour and decorative excess operate as both invitation and disguise.

Familiar figures are transformed through watercolour, acrylic, glitter and graphic pattern. Their bright surfaces evoke pleasure and spectacle, while beneath them sit more ambiguous questions of appetite, identity and performance. The work is playful, but never entirely innocent.
